Nursing Assistant

Learn the overall concept of being a nursing assistant. Prepare to work with people of various demographics and establish foundational skills that expand the students' understanding of their role in healthcare. This covers the role of a Nursing Assistant, safety, basic nursing care, rehabilitation and restorative care, infection control and patient care. The course also includes interactive activities, simulated laboratory experiences and hands-on experience in a designated clinical setting. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to sit for the National Healthcareer Association's Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) exam. Please note a High School Diploma or GED is required to sit for the exam.
